Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor who hails from Bahrain's Manama was raised in a multicultural family. Her father Elroy Fernandez hails from Sri Lanka (Sinhalese - Catholic)and her mother Kim is a Malaysian. There are two brothers as well as an older sister. The reason for this was the conflict in Sri Lanka that her parents made the decision to relocate to Bahrain. Following her education in Bahrain her family was granted a Scholarship to attend Sydney's University of Sydney, where she completed a bachelor's master's degree in Media and Communications in Sydney, Australia. She also attended the Berlitz School of Foreign Languages, which helped her improve on French, Arabic and Spanish. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 won Miss Universe 2006 competition in March 2006. She also was also crowned Miss Universe 2006 also. In the aftermath of winning the Miss Sri Lanka title in 2006, she stepped into the world of television. She was the host of a show on Sri Lanka's business named Lanka Business Report. Padukone is the child of of badminton world champion Prakash Padukone. Padukone grew up in Bangalore however, she came from Copenhagen. When she was a teen, Padukone was a participant in numerous National badminton competitions. However, she resigned from the sport when she decided to be a professional fashion model. Padukone is a native of Mangalore, India. The language she speaks is Konkani is her origin. Padukone, a village in Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi located in Karnataka State of India is where her family comes from. Prakash Padukone has retired as a world-renowned athlete in badminton Her mother, on the other hand, is also a travel consultant.
